(Seoul-Yonhap News) ISPCM was held at the Novotel Ambassador Hotel in Dongdaemun, Seoul on December 12.
The conference will be held by March 15, 2019 experts from around the world, including the United States, Canada, Japan and France are joining this meeting.
Through this event, the society plans to explore ways to implement precision medicine beyond academic boundaries in cancer prevention, statistics, and AI algorithms.
Among the key presentations, is Professor Yusuke Nakamura of the University of Chicago, USA, entitled diagnosis and treatment of cancer through AI hospitals.
Professor Yusuke said, "The development of precise medical technology using the AI system will be very important in the future cancer treatment." By introducing the AI system based on Big Data to the hospital, It can maximize the effect of treatment. "
Professor Yusuke is reportedly planning to establish an 'AI hospital' based on this treatment strategy and receive government support from his homeland in Japan.
Dr. Song Yong Sang, chairman of the International Cancer Society, said, "Although cancer research has been led by clinical experts, now experts from various basic fields such as engineering, biology and statistics can collaborate with each other to conquer cancer more rapidly and smartly. It is the goal of the society to work closely with research teams from different countries to realize customized treatment and diagnosis of cancer patients. "
